چکیده

Bangladesh is a global south hotspot due to climate change and sea level rise concerns. It highly disaster-prone country in the world with active deltaic shorelines. The shorelines are quickly changing coastal accretion erosion. Erosion one of water hazards landmass sinking, relates land rises sediment load deposition on Bay Bengal continental shelf. Therefore, this study aimed explore shoreline status assessment for three years 1991, 2006, 2021 using satellite remote sensing geographical information system (GIS) approaches. Landsat 5, 7 ETM+, 8 OLI imageries were employed onshore tasseled cap transformation (TCT) classification calculations create shore boundaries, baseline assessment, accretion, erosion, point distance, near feature analysis. We converted 16,550 vertices points as ground reference (GRPs) validated those datasheet collected from Survey (SoB). observed that delta’s changed, overall lands accredited land-increasing characteristics total areas during time periods 1991 2006 825.15 km2, was 756.69 1223.94 km2 30-year period. Similarly, erosion analysis indicated results gained period 475.87 682.75 respectively. 800.72 2021. Neat 73.94 This research indicates changes shorelines, referring evidence formation through processes ‘climate change’ ‘sea rise’. projects process threatens use toward agriculture settlements regions Bangladesh.

Using the Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Tasseled Cap Transformation to Extract Shoreline ( March 2003 )

A semiautomated method for objectively interpreting and extracting the land-water interface has been devised and used successfully to generate multiple shoreline data for the test States of Louisiana and Delaware. The method is based on the application of tasseled cap transformation coefficients derived by the EROS Data Center for Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Data, and is used in conjunct...

Multi-Temporal Assessment of Mangrove Forests Change in the Coastal Areas of Bushehr Region Based on Landsat Satellite Imagery

Continual access to precise information about the land use/land cover (LULC) changes of the Earth’s surface is extremely important for any sustainable development program in which LULC serves as one of the major input criteria. In this study, a supervised classification was applied to three Landsat images collected in 1986, 1998and 2018, providing mangrove forests change data in the coastal are...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Improving Satellite Quickbird-based Identification of Landscape Archaeological Features through Tasseled Cap Transformation and Pca

In this paper, the Tasseled Cap Transformation (TCT) was applied to QuickBird multispectral images for extracting archaeological features linked to ancient human transformations of the landscape. The investigation was performed on Metaponto, one of the most important archaeological sites in the South of Italy. The analysis was focused on the identification of ancient land divisions likely relat...

detection of hydrothermal potential zones using remote sensing satellite data in ramand region, qazvin province, iran

ramand region is a part of qazvin province located in south west of buin-zahra. in this region, hydrothermal alterations have been extended within magmatic occurrences and therefore are mostly detectable by remote sensing techniques. altered facies could be well enhanced after applying selective principle component analysis (spca), least squares fitting method (ls-fit) and spectral angel mapper...
